Or enabling people to walk around with a BBQ strapped to them, which can create the illusion of everything being cooked on the spot, in seconds, with smoke, heat, and sounding perfect, but most importantly, safe for everyone.

As a child, Bob was written off as “stupid.” The pressure and stress of being constantly told he would never succeed took a serious toll, even almost causing him to go blind. At the age of 11, he still couldn’t read.

But Bob proved the doubters wrong.

He not only learned to read but also went on to pass his GCSEs, opening the door to a world of magic and performance.

Since then, Bob has worked behind the scenes on 17 television shows and 7 stage productions as a creative consultant, and has performed live on three major TV networks. He’s known for turning impossible ideas into working effects, often under high-pressure deadlines.

Bob has also written a book outlining what he believes to be best practices for magic consultants, filled with real-world advice and creative problem-solving techniques from his career.

Now, he shares his journey through talks designed to inspire, entertain, and empower — blending personal stories with hard-earned insights from a life in magic and television.

Whether he’s speaking to students, performers, or professionals, Bob hopes to show that with resilience, creativity, and a little misdirection… the impossible might be possible.
